MAIR PACKING MACHINE, model MPS RH150/D/4/SL The MPS RH150/D/4/SL Pat. model automatically packs round tubes into hexagonal bundles. The machine automatically performs the strapping operation in a fixed position, with the bundle moving laterally and automatically stopping at the programmed strapping positions. It consists of: - Four-tube chain conveyors with support teeth and intermittent drive for lifting one tube at a time, coming from the threading machine, up to the alignment zone. - A powered roller to align the tube against an adjustable end stop before forming the row. - Two buffer areas for tube rows; necessary during the evacuation cycle of the bundle. - A sturdy welded structural steel frame, forming a bridge structure. - A tube row handling system that picks up one tube row at a time from the second row storage and places it onto the bundle forming supports. - Handling is performed by a series of electromagnets executing a rotary movement during the row transfer cycle. - Four powered vertical supports for bundle formation and clamping.
