Heater Element Welding Machine HP60/40 by BRANSON
The drive is hydraulic, supported by positioning and control systems. The machine is equipped with its own vacuum pump.
Usable heating element area: width 600 mm x depth 400 mm
Max. part dimensions:
- Max. part width: 620 mm
- Max. part depth: 420 mm
- Max. upper part height: 350 mm
- Max. lower part height: 350 mm
(Combinations of part heights are possible, depending on contour)
- Max. operating temperature for contact welding: 400°C
The modular frame construction of the machine allows for easy modifications. The side doors and the front door in the welding area can be easily opened (for straightforward retooling). The automatic safety lift door ensures a high level of operator safety. The temperature control devices on the operator panel feature both actual and target value displays. The control unit is a Siemens PLC operating device. Machine control is managed by a Siemens PLC (S7-300 controller). The heating elements are fitted with temperature sensors for temperature regulation and serve as a safety cutoff in case of overheating. The pin systems on the tool mounting surfaces enable reproducible positioning.
Advantages of heating element welding technology:
- Secure welding of workpieces with low or varying wall thicknesses is possible
- Low rejection rates due to precise and reproducible weld joints
- Sensitive parts can be welded thanks to precise control of time, temperature, and force
- Almost all thermoplastics can be welded using this method
