The stretch banding machines of the SKINETTA series are designed to tightly wrap individual products or multiple items with polyethylene film. Unlike shrink-wrapping machines, the film is pulled tightly around the bundle before sealing. This tensioning is the main advantage of the process, resulting in up to 20% lower film consumption.

A special advantage of the patented SKINETTA stretch-tightening system is its infinitely adjustable, fine dosing capability.

Sealing (welding) of the film is done in a minimal space, resulting in a clean seal seam with very small overhangs. By adding a SKINETTAther or SKINETTAshrink heat tunnel and using sufficiently wide film, any film overhangs extending beyond the bundle can be shrunk down at the sides. This process increases bundle stability and prevents individual products in grouped packages from falling out sideways. A complete package seal by end-sealing, capping, and side folding is possible with optional accessories.

The SKINETTA stretch banding machine range consists of 6 basic models for film widths of 25 mm, 200 mm, 290 mm, 440 mm, 590 mm, 790 mm, and 1250 mm. To increase output, two- to four-lane systems are manufactured in addition to the single-lane models. On the SK series (semi-automatic), products are grouped on the machine table by an operator. Insertion into the film and the subsequent stretching and banding are triggered either by foot pedal or two-hand control. Later full automation is possible (except for model SK 200). The ASK series (fully automatic) features fully automated product feeding, grouping, and banding via add-on equipment. A modular system based on over 20 years of experience in feeding, grouping, forming, and specialized units allows adaptation to a wide variety of customer requirements using proven standard components.
