The INDEX ABC is a compact turning machine for producing short turned parts from bar stock.

The machine is built in a slant-bed layout with two independent turrets.

The upper turret is primarily intended for internal and cutoff-side machining, while the lower turret handles the external machining.

The turret arrangement enables collision-free operation and simple programming, with high tool availability.

The large open workspace facilitates good chip evacuation.

The working area consists of two turrets:

"Turret 1"
- Disc turret with 7 radially arranged tool holders Ø 25 mm DIN 69880 and one mount for the reinforced synchronization spindle at turret station 8. With an adapter holder, tools with 1" shanks can also be used. The turret head is prepared for the V-guide system.

- Synchronization spindle for rear machining, allowing simultaneous parallel operations with the main spindle. Collet chuck Ø42 or 3-jaw gripper chuck for both inner and outer clamping. Jaw stroke 0.6 mm. Clamping diameter (external) 75 mm.

- Rear drilling device. Starting from the main spindle center and proceeding clockwise, 3 stationary rear drilling tools are positioned on the pitch circle of the synchronization spindle. Rear side machining is performed simultaneously with operations on the main spindle. Additionally, two further tools can be mounted and can be equipped with live tool drives.

"Turret 2"
- Turret with 6 symmetrical dovetail mounts and two mounting bores per station for cylindrical shanks.
